Rockdale CASA Celebrates 30 Years with “Unmasking Hope”
A NIGHT WORTH CELEBRATING:
Rockdale County community members, advocates, and supporters gathered in April to celebrate a meaningful milestone as Rockdale Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) hosted its 30th anniversary event, Unmasking Hope: A Charity Masquerade Ball.
Behind every mask is a story, some filled with resilience, others still unfolding. For many children in foster care, their experiences are often unseen or misunderstood. Unmasking Hope reflects the importance of bringing those stories to light while creating space for healing, stability, and growth.
It also represents the role of CASA volunteers: uncovering the full picture of a child’s life and advocating for what they truly need.
Held at Soaring Heights, the evening brought together about 100 guests for a night centered on awareness, recognition, and continued support for children experiencing foster care.
The event marked three decades of service for Rockdale CASA, an organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Through trained volunteers, CASA provides a consistent voice for children navigating the foster care system, ensuring their needs remain at the forefront of court decisions.
An Evening Rooted in Purpose:
Guests arrived in formal and semi-formal attire, many embracing the masquerade theme that symbolized both the hidden challenges children face and the hope that advocacy brings. The atmosphere balanced elegance with intention, creating space for both celebration and reflection.
The evening featured live entertainment, catered dining, and opportunities for attendees to connect with others who share a commitment to supporting children and families in Rockdale County.
A central part of the program included the recognition of CASA volunteers, individuals who dedicate their time to advocating for children in foster care. Their work often takes place behind the scenes, but their impact is lasting and life-changing.
Community growth and Future Support:
The masquerade ball also served as a fundraiser to support Rockdale CASA’s ongoing programs, including volunteer recruitment, training, and advocacy services. Community sponsors and partners played a key role in making the event possible, reflecting strong local investment in the well-being of children.
In addition to fundraising, the event created space for new connections, introducing attendees to opportunities to become CASA volunteers and deepen their involvement in the organization’s mission.
Thank you for all the support!
